Xiaomi has today introduced its latest mid-range contender, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in the Indian smartphone market. The device comes with many premium features, including a dual camera setup at the back.

The phone is sporting a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160p) IPS-LCD panel. This is an 18:9 aspect ratio display with 2.5D curved glass.


Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor with 4+4 Kryo 260 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 509 GPU.


This combination is backed by two RAM variants  4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB.


The Phone comes with a 12MP f/2.2 primary camera and 5MP f/2.0 with Sony IMX486 sensor. On the front is a 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, LED flash


The Smartphone is powered by a 4000mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 14 hours of continuous video playback, with 5V/2A fast charging.

Android version

The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat based MIUI 9.

Other feature

Connectivity options on the Smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB, The phone was announced with Face Unlock, making it the first Xiaomi to feature the tech, face Unlock Feature is available soon via OT Update Xiaomi Says.

Color options

The Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available in four colors: Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Blue.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced starting at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB variant and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB model. The phone will come with a free case in the box. Xiaomi will be selling the Redmi Note 5 Pro exclusively on Flipkart and mi.com
